7 Cute Outfits For Spring 2020

1. Spring Date Night Outfit

This my favorite spring date night outfit that’s perfect for any date. This look can so easily be re-created, and you too can wear it on your date this weekend!

I am a true girly girl and I love dresses, skirts, heels, etc., but when it comes to date night, I would much rather wear jeans and feel comfortable and relaxed. Especially if I am just going to dinner and a movie, I most definitely don’t want to wear a dress and heels! If you work all day in your business clothes, I’m sure that you too would choose jeans over a dress for date night!

The real trick is finding that pair of jeans that can be dressed up and look stylish without looking too casual. I found this pair of jeans for less than $70 and they are my new favorites! I recently discovered this brand of jeans and they are my go-to jeans now. I truly prefer this brand over designer jeans because the fit is amazing in every pair I’ve tried on, they are so soft and comfy, and you can’t beat the price point!

When picking out your date night outfit, mixing highs and lows is key. Pairing light washed denim with a raw hem looks amazing with some chunky nude heels. You are mixing the casual pair of jeans with the dressier shoe, which gives your outfit a good mix of highs and lows.

I found this white cold shoulder blouse and immediately knew it was going to be my new favorite date night top! The lace and scalloped detail on the top gives it the perfect feminine touch that I love.

I find that carrying a clutch on date night is easier than bringing a larger handbag. I love that when I bought my Louis Vuitton Neverfull it came with this little clutch inside the bag. It has a wrist strap so you can carry it on your wrist which is super convenient or you could just hold it by the bottom of the bag. This similar clutch comes in 6 different colors, is under $100, and would be perfect for any date night outfit!

Besides the outfit, a date night hairstyle is also very important! 9 times out of 10 I curl my hair for date night. In my day-to-day life, I almost always wear my hair straight, so that is why I enjoy curling my hair when I have a date planned with my husband. I curl my hair the same way every time using this Hot Tools curling wand…it’s seriously the best curling wand ever!

I have figured out a way to curl my hair that is foolproof PLUS it doesn’t take too much time to do which is nice when I am in a rush. I filmed a hair tutorial on how exactly I curl my hair, and you can watch it here. Don’t forget to add some hairspray so your curls last all night.

There are obviously endless options of outfits you can wear on a spring date night, but I think this outfit pictured above would be perfect for so many girls! It’s cute, springy, feminine, and effortless all at once. I have linked all of the outfit details below for you to shop this whole look!

Happy Friday!! I am spending the weekend in Chicago with my husband to celebrate his birthday! Chicago is our favorite city to visit because it has all of our favorite restaurants 🙂 Make sure you are following me on Instagram because I will be documenting our whole trip via Insta stories!

Although the Chicago weather feels more like winter than spring, I wanted to share another fun springy outfit with you today! This is a simple outfit that can be worn throughout the entire season. White dresses are so timeless and look so cute paired with denim jackets. This adorable and girly white eyelet dress is under $60! It would be the perfect dress for Easter Sunday. Do you have your Easter dress/outfit yet??

When I saw this embellished jean jacket online at Nordstrom, I added it to my cart immediately! I have soo many jean jackets in my closet but I didn’t have an adorable star embellished one, so it was a must-have for me 🙂 You can pair this jacket over a feminine dress like this one, or you could pair it with a graphic tee for an edgier look. This jacket is one of my favorite purchases so far this year, and it is currently 40% off! There are only a couple of sizes left, so make sure to grab it before it’s gone.

3. Transition Your Wardrobe from Winter to Spring

I want to share how you can dress for spring even when the weather doesn’t feel so springlike. I hope you enjoy my tips & tricks on transitioning your winter wardrobe to spring!

TIP #1 // Ditch the dark colors

If the weather is acting crazy where you live, don’t let that stop you from enjoying spring fashion! If you can’t break out your skirts and dresses just yet, you can start wearing springy colors and patterns. Put away your dark-colored sweaters and tops and switch them out with lighter colored options. I love this lilac sweater because it’s a gorgeous color for spring but it still keeps me warm. Trade-in your dark denim for light-washed jeans or white denim.

TIP #2 // Accessorize your look

Spring fashion isn’t just about the clothes, it’s also about the accessories! You can make any outfit look springy by adding a white hatbright-colored earrings, or tying a scarf in your hair. It’s fun to get creative with your accessories when the weather won’t allow you to fully dress for spring.

TIP #3 // Layering is your friend

Layering is key! When transitioning from winter to spring, the day can start off chilly and end up much warmer later on. Instead of just wearing a heavy sweater all day long, start with wearing a tank with a light cardigan over it and add a denim jacket on top for some extra warmth. Depending on what the weather does throughout the day, you can take off the layers you don’t need or add them on later when necessary.

I hope these tips have given you some new ideas on how to transition your wardrobe from winter to spring. Thanks so much for stopping by!

4. Simple Spring Outfit + Hair Bandana Trend

OUTFIT DETAILS

Bodysuit: Free People | Denim Skirt: Express | Hair Bandana: Madewell | Wedges: Treasure & Bond | Bag: Express

This Free People bodysuit is so darling and I have already worn it a ton since I got it. It is cut pretty high on the sides, so you will need to pair it with something high waisted like this denim skirt or some high waisted jeans or shorts. The details on this bodysuit are just too cute- there is eyelet detailing, the most precious little ruffle straps, and of course the lace-up detail in the front. This is such a good staple to have in your spring and summer wardrobe! I much prefer wearing bodysuits with jeans/skirts/shorts instead of tucking in a shirt. When you try to tuck in a shirt, it can become untucked and just look bunchy and messy. Bodysuits always look so smooth and they are less maintenance.

Now let’s talk about my favorite hair trend right now which is wearing a bandana in your hair! There are soo many different ways you can do this, but the way I tied it in my hair is just one of the ways you can do it (and obviously so easy)! I will be filming a YouTube video of my favorite ways to wear bandanas in your hair in case you need some inspiration. I wore this bandana in my hair in this Instagram picture, and you guys seemed to love it. My hair tutorial video will definitely include how I achieved that hairstyle 🙂 What do you think of this new hair trend? Would you try it out??

5. Distressed Denim Mini Skirt

Outfit Details

WHITE BLOUSE: Socialite | DENIM SKIRT: Express | HAT: Free People (sold out), similar here | WEDGES: Steve Madden (on major sale!!) | BAG: Louis Vuitton Neverfull GM, similar here | WATCH: Michele | EARRINGS: BP

I will 100% be wearing this look on repeat all spring and summer! There’s just something so refreshing about a plain white blouse and a denim skirteveryone needs those two items in their spring wardrobe. If you don’t yet have them, what are you waiting for?!? You can truly pair anything with a white blouse and that’s why it is a must-have item in your closet. You can see how differently I styled this white blouse here.

It’s honestly a little crazy to me that denim skirts are so popular again because I wore them like crazy in junior high and high school (Abercrombie jean skirts were my jam!). I love that certain trends I was obsessed with several years ago are coming back into style. I fell in love with this distressed denim skirt when I saw it online at Express.

I hope this outfit gave you some ideas of what spring items you should be adding to your closet. You don’t have to go overboard when it comes to spring shopping, but it is important to add a few new items to your closet that can easily be worn in many different ways!

One of my favorite things to do is shop the “new arrivals” section of Nordstrom to see all of the newest items and fun trends that are going to be popular this spring. I get so many ideas and I love the inspiration I gain from browsing that section. Try it out if you haven’t done it before!

6. My Favorite Ruffled Blouse for Spring

Outfit Details

BLOUSE: Leith | JEANS: BP | SHOES: Sam Edelman (Color: Dusty Rose) | BAG: Express | EARRINGS: BaubleBar |

WATCH: Michele | BRACELET: Kate Spade

I love the feminine and flirty details on this blouse- the ruffle sleeves, the delicate stripes, and the tie waist are just a few of my favorite details.

I picked up these jeans the last time I was at Nordstrom, and they are my new favorite pair of denim! BP makes amazing jeans at an even greater price point. I have been loving distressed denim lately, and these have the perfect amount of distressing to them, plus I love the raw and distressed hem. I like switching out my dark denim for a lighter wash in the springtime, so this lighter color denim is the perfect addition to my spring wardrobe.

These dusty rose heels are giving me all the heart eyes!!! You will be seeing all things dusty rose all year long because it is one of the ‘it’ colors this year. These heels would honestly look so adorable with any spring outfit, and they would be the perfect shoes for Easter! I look forward to wearing these heels with dresses, skirts, and even shorts- they truly will look amazing paired with any outfit this spring and summer and will dress up any outfit.

I can’t fail to mention my new favorite spring earrings from BaubleBar! I love buying some fun new jewelry each season, and these pink beaded earrings were a must-have for me. BaubleBar always makes the best statement pieces. You can wear a plain white top and jeans, and totally transform the outfit by simply adding a statement piece of jewelry.

I hope you have a beautiful Easter weekend! Thanks for stopping by 🙂

PS- I wanted to let you know that I will be publishing a new video every week on my YouTube channel, and I would love it if you would subscribe to my channel here!

7. Gingham: The ‘It’ Print for Spring

OUTFIT DETAILS

DRESS: Express | WHITE BLOUSE: Socialite | BAG: Express | WEDGES: Steve Madden (on major sale!) | EARRINGS: Nordstrom | WATCH: Michele | RING: Nadri | LIP LINER: Charlotte Tilbury (Pillow Talk) | LIPSTICK: Mac (Creme Cup)

One of my absolute favorite new items is this gingham dress pictured above! Express was having a sale (I feel like they always have some sort of amazing sale going on) and I purchased this gingham dress in my order. If you haven’t noticed yet in stores and online, gingham is the ‘it print’ this spring! I have seen so many adorable gingham tops, dresses, and skirts for spring, and I love them all! I recently purchased this gingham skirt which you will see styled on the blog soon!

I usually like to pair jean jackets over tank dresses like the one I am wearing, but I had picked up this white sheer blouse when I was at Nordstrom, and I thought it would be adorable paired with my gingham dress. I think tying a shirt over a dress is a cute and fun way to layer your outfit. Jean jackets can sometimes feel bulky when paired with dresses, so I opted for this lightweight layer instead.

I need to mention my wedges before they sell out! I had been eyeing the Marc Fisher wedges, but I didn’t really want to pay $160 for a pair of wedges. I found these Steve Madden wedges for under $60 (SUCH a steal!!!) and they are ALMOST identical to the Marc Fisher wedges. As you can imagine they are selling out so quickly, so if you like the style of the Marc Fisher wedges but want to save $100, definitely get the Steve Madden’s instead.

Thank you so much for stopping by! I’m praying the weather starts acting more like spring so I can share many more spring outfits with you all very soon! If you have any blog posts or YouTube video requests, please leave them in a comment down below!
