Graphic Tee Outfits

SHOP THE POST:

Happy Monday! I hope you all had a fun and productive weekend! I was in Dallas and I truly had the best visit ever- I cannot wait to go back again!

Today I want to talk about one of my favorite trends which is graphic tees! I am loving all of the Gucci inspired graphic tees that just about every retailer carries. Styling a graphic tee can sometimes be tricky because it is literally a t-shirt (they can be boxy, too long, etc.). I am sharing my top 3 tips on how to put together a cute and stylish outfit featuring your favorite graphic tee.

TIP #1: Knot it or tuck it

I find that knotting a shirt or tucking it into your pants/ skirt will solve all of your problems! Knotting a shirt will give you more shape and is overall more flattering. Tucking in a shirt can also have the same effect. I personally like the half tuck or side tuck when it comes to styling graphic tees (rather than a full tuck). If your graphic tee is super long or boxy, I would grab all of the extra fabric, bring it to one side and tie it in a knot. With my outfit pictured above, I tried half tucking it and knotting it, and I loved the way the knot looked more! Play around with the knotting/tucking until you find something that makes you happy.

TIP #2: Pair it with a cardigan

Pairing a cardigan with your graphic tee is the perfect addition for a fall outfit. Add a basic or a printed cardigan to compliment your graphic tee. I loved wearing this gray duster cardigan with my graphic tee because the sweater complimented the text color on my tee really well!

TIP #3: Add your personal style

When styling a graphic tee, it’s important to stay true to your personal style. If wearing a graphic tee is going outside of your fashion comfort zone, then pair it with classic pieces that you love from your wardrobe! I paired my tee with a comfy sweater, my absolute favorite distressed jeans, and black booties. I feel comfortable in all of those items, so adding in a graphic tee was a simple transition! If you’ve never styled a graphic tee before and decide to pair it with boyfriend jeans and metallic booties, you may feel uncomfortable if you are wearing multiple trends that you’ve never styled before. Keep your outfit simple and make sure you feel and look like yourself! 🙂
