My Everyday Makeup Routine (Video)

Today I am sharing my everyday makeup routine with you! I am going to break it down into two parts. Part I will be an explanation of my every day face makeup routine, and Part II will be a video of my everyday eye makeup routine (so make sure you read the whole post)! As always, I will link every product that I mention so you can easily access them!

By no means am I claiming to be a professional makeup artist, but I have a passion for makeup and I have learned so much about makeup and skincare over the years from watching amazing people on YouTube like Jaclyn Hill. If you want to get better at a makeup skill, all you have to do is watch amazingly talented people doing the skill, practice it over and over and eventually you will master it!

Just for reference, I have very dry skin, so many of the products I use on my face are hydrating and luminous. I hope you enjoy learning my tips & tricks from my everyday makeup routine!

Step 1: After my skin is fully moisturized (I use this for my face and this for my under eyes), I spray Mac Fix+ on my face to prep my skin.

Step 2: Once the Fix+ dries a bit, I will put about 2-3 pumps of the Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation (I wear shade #5) on the back of my hand. With a foundation brush, I apply the foundation to my face and I buff it on my skin to get great coverage.

PRO TIP: After you have applied your foundation with a brush, you might notice some brush streaks on your face. Take a damp Beauty Blender and pounce it all over your face. This will not only remove the visible brush strokes, but it will also pick up any extra product on your face that you don’t need.

Step 3: After my foundation is completely done, I add my concealer. I use the Tarte Shape Tape concealer which is honestly the BEST concealer I have ever used (I wear shade Light). I have tried so many different brands and products but this is the only one that actually covers my dark under eye circles as well as blemishes. I add this concealer onto my under eyes, in between my eyebrows, on the sides of my nose where redness can occur, and down the bridge of my nose. I will also cover any blemishes I may have. After the concealer is applied, I take my damp Beauty Blender and blend out the concealer that I just applied. I find that the damp Beauty Blender is the best tool to use to flawlessly blend out concealer.

Step 4: Once my foundation and concealer are completely done, it is time to set the face. I am a huge fan of dewy, glowing skin, so I am picky about the powders I put on my face. I set my under eyes with the Nars setting powder with my Sigma brush, and it brightens up my under eyes and it helps keep my concealer stay in place all day long. For face powder, I use the Laura Mercier mineral powder in the color ‘real sand’. I love that this powder is so finely milled because it does not look cakey on the skin at all. I just use a little bit of this on a powder brush and I dust it all over my face.

Step 5: Next step is bronzing! I use a fluffy bronzer brush to apply my Marc Jacobs bronzer to my cheekbones, forehead, sides of my nose, and anywhere else that needs a little bronzing. This is the perfect bronzing shade for tons of different skin tones! It also comes with so much product so it will last you for a long time.

Step 6: Now that the face is perfectly bronzed, this is where I add some color onto my cheeks. I am absolutely in love with this Nars Blush Palette because the shade range is incredible. I love that I have different color options every single day, and I can switch up which shades I use depending on what makeup look I am going for. For my everyday look, I always mix the shades Pale Pink and Vivid Pink together for a gorgeous bright pop of color on my cheeks. I apply my blush with this Becca brush.

Step 7: This is probably my favorite step of all: HIGHLIGHTING! As you know by now, glowy skin is my thing. I love the appearance of healthy, glowing skin, so you can understand why I love highlighting so much! I have used this Hourglass Palette for so long and it is still my favorite product to highlight with. I like natural looking highlights and I do not like chunky glitter highlights. This palette is the best product to use for a ‘glow from within’ look. The colors look very subtle on the skin but when the light hits your face, your skin looks absolutely incredible. I apply this product to my cheekbones, above my brows, on the tip of my nose, and on the cupids bow with a fan brush. This step takes your makeup look to the next level!

Step 8: Time for the brows! I use the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in the color Taupe and lightly fill in the sparse areas of my brows. I make them look as natural as possible. Once I have filled them in, I set them with clear brow gel so they stay in place all day.

Step 9: Once my entire face is done, I will take the Mac Fix+ that I used in step 1 and spray it on my face again to set my makeup. This not only sets your makeup in place, but it also adds a beautiful dewy finish to your skin.

Step 10: You can’t forget the lips! I have found a lip product combo that I absolutely cannot live without. I use Mac Boldly Bare Lip Liner, Mac Creme Cup Lipstick, and NYX Butter Gloss in Eclair. If you are looking for a new lip combo, you have to try this out!

Those are the steps I take to complete my everyday face makeup routine! It is seriously so simple and it looks great every time!
