5 Beauty Tricks You Need to Know

Have you ever looked at a photo on Pinterest or of your favorite celebrity and thought, “how does their makeup look THAT perfect?!” Lets be honest, we’ve all had that thought before!

The trick to having perfect, flawless makeup is by learning the tricks of the trade from professionals. Luckily I have already done all the research for you (AND tested out these tricks!), so I am here to share them with you today. Keep reading to learn the 5 beauty tricks you NEED to know!

1. Natural, Full Coverage Face

If you want a flawless, natural looking face but you still want full coverage, this trick is for you! Mix your moisturizer with a long wear, full coverage foundation for a natural yet flawless looking face. No one wants a cake face, and the moisturizer added into your foundation will help thin it out and make it apply much more flawlessly.

2. Flawless Under Eyes

The under eyes can be tricky when it comes to makeup if you aren’t using the right products. In order to set your concealer perfectly, you should apply a translucent face powder (I highly recommend the RCMA powder) with a damp beauty blender. Once you apply a generous amount of the powder to your under eyes, let the powder sit on your under eyes for a few minutes to set into your skin, and then brush the powder away with a fluffy brush. You will be left with bright and perfectly set under eyes.

3. Perfect Pout

When it comes to over lining your lips, less is more. You want to make sure you are using a matte lip liner because it blends into your lips and looks more natural. Don’t start over lining your lips everywhere. If you want to accentuate your cupids bow, slightly over line your cupids bow, and then follow the natural line of the rest of your lips. When you over draw your entire lips, your lips can start to look misshapen (NOT good). You want to look natural, so don’t go overboard! Once your lips are lined, add your favorite lipstick over it. Add a little highlighter slightly above your cupids bow to make your top lip appear larger, and add some bronzer under your bottom lip to make it appear fuller.

4. Dewy Complexion

There are many products you can use to achieve a dewy looking face, but this specific trick works wonders. Apply a dewy foundation to your skin and when it comes time to set your face, only powder your t-zone and/or the areas of your face that normally get oily. The trick to having the perfect glow is by letting the dewy foundation shine through, so don’t cover it up with a matte powder!

5. Natural Brows

Everybody wants good looking eyebrows, right?! The trick to getting naturally full eyebrows is by using a couple different products. You want your brows to look natural, you don’t want to have Sharpie brows! To achieve the perfect brows, you should start out by using a brow pencil to outline the shape of your brows. You can also draw little brow hairs in the front of your brows where you are lacking definition. I highly recommend using this Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz for that step. Next, you should fill in the rest of your eyebrows with a brow powder like this one. When you use the powder, it creates a soft and natural look. The brow pencil is perfect for “stenciling” out the perfect brow shape for your face. The two products used together create a beautiful dimension to your brows. Everyone will be asking how your eyebrows look so good once you add this step into your beauty routine!

I hope you learned something new today that you can incorporate into your beauty routine!

Athleisure under $100

[Shop each item above by clicking on the black + icon]

I don’t know about you but I find myself wearing athleisure ALL. THE. TIME. (even when I don’t make it to the gym!!) I love how comfortable and functional athleisure is, and I know many people agree with me because it is so popular right now!

Nordstrom has an amazing selection of tops, leggings, jackets, shoes, etc., and I have picked out my favorite items under $100! Altheisure can be pretty pricey, so I chose the items that are not only priced super well, but are also things that I believe to be must haves. Every woman needs to own a cute pair of leggings, a tank top, a jacket, and athletic shoes to wear around the house, on errands, and/or to the gym!

What is your favorite piece of athleisure? Leave me a comment down below and let me know!

Favorite Beauty Dupes

Makeup can be SO expensive, so it is always helpful to know what products are worth spending your money on, and what products you should save your money on. I have gathered my favorite makeup dupes for high end products that work the same (if not better) than the more expensive versions! If you were considering buying any of the “splurge” items, I recommend testing out the “steal” version first! See all product details below.

Mac Plushglass Lip Gloss ($21) vs. NYX Butter Gloss ($5)

Nars Loose Setting Powder ($37) vs. RCMA No Color Powder ($12)
